Five Star Family Dinners- Fajitas part 2

Last week I introduced you to the Smoky Brisket Fajita idea. My family loved it so much that this week I decided to try it again with a little twist or two. I took home a pound of smoked Chicken and topped it with the veggies and melted cheese. The fajitas were delicious and we served them with this LIME MINT COOLER.(click on the words for a link to the recipe.) It’s been so HOT in our house lately, this meal only required the stove to be on for a few minutes and the coolers did just what their name promised. I’d love to know what you think if you try them. –Jenna.

Bringin’ Home The Brisket- Five Star Family Dinners.

Ever feel like some Five Star BBQ but you’re not in the mood for a restaurant dinner? You’re in luck, because you can take home any of our delicious smoked meats by the pound and make them a part of your family meal.

Tonight, I brought home a pound of Brisket and made…

It was quick, easy and OFF THE SCALE of delicious. My whole family agreed, and they are a tough crowd!

Here’s the recipe (if you can call something so easy an actual recipe!)

Uncooked Tortillas- I like the Tortilla Land brand from Costco. They’re so much more delicious than ordinary tortillas.

Red Pepper, Green Bell Pepper and a Red Onion cut into strips and tossed into a hot cast iron skillet with a little olive oil.

One pound of sliced Brisket from Five Star (11.95 per pound).Toss it into the same pan as the peppers and onion for the last couple of minutes. Just long enough to warm it up, but not long enough to dry it out.

Serve with sour cream to taste.

- thanks for reading. I’ll have more ways to use our take home meats coming soon. I love taking something home from a shift and making an easy meal for my family. Feeding people all day long can be hard work, Y’all!

Enjoy… Jenna (the blonde behind the counter.)

Orange Soda.

Have you heard of the online marketing company Orange Soda? They are helping us with our online presence (with a new website and facebook page in the works!) and yesterday we got to cater for them too.

A standing ovation? Thanks! Okay, it was for the speakers… but we did get great reviews of the food too.

(thumbs up from Sarah and Michael)

Orange Soda is clearly a fun, high energy company and we had a great time at the event. They also have some talented graphic designers, if you’re into that kind of thing…
